Association membership

In addition to personal membership for homeowners, ARPQ also offers association membership to all homeowner associations or homeowner committees in residential parks in Queensland.

Please note: associations with an association membership are deemed as one body and thus entitled to only one vote at any ARPQ meeting. This vote is to be cast by the nominated representative of the homeowner association.

This type of membership provides associations and their committees with access to all of the information and support services provided by ARPQ and enjoyed by its members that relate to whole of park issues.

Individual homeowners from an association with membership looking for personal advice or assistance need to hold personal membership. This application is subject to the regular membership fee.

Cost

The membership year commences on the 1st of October of each year with the current yearly membership for associations priced at $75.00 per annum. For more information regarding our association membership, please feel free to contact us today.

Why you should become an ARPQ member

There are numerous benefits to becoming a member of ARPQ.

Advocacy

Our advocacy with Government and politicians in the interests of homeowners works because of our membership. The more members we have the more seriously we are recognised and the more power we have to bring about the changes we see as necessary to better protect all homeowners.

Assistance with Site Agreements and the Act

Site Agreements can be complex documents and trying to sort out the associated regulations in the Manufactured Homes (Residential Parks) Act 2003 (the Act) can be difficult. Many current owners and prospective buyers are not sure how to interpret Site Agreements, what sort of issues to look out for, how sections of the Act affect them and what to do when complications arise.

Our advisory team is always available to provide clarification and assistance. We’ll point you in the right direction.

Understand your rights

As a personal member of ARPQ, we’ll be able to ensure you understand your rights as a homeowner and resident.

Clarify obligations owed to you

We are closely familiar with the current legislation and amendments so you don’t have to be. Our team will offer advice and clarification regarding the various obligations owed to you by the park owner or manager.

Communication assistance

Liaising, negotiating and dispute resolution can prove to be challenging at best and stressful at worst. We help our members communicate with relevant park owners regarding any and every problem that arises.

Dispute resolution

While we certainly hope that disputes can be avoided, if you need advice about the processes involved, we are here to help. If necessary, we can guide you, step by step, through the complex procedures leading to and including the QCAT tribunal process.

Site rent review help

When our members undergo site rent reviews, they’re able to turn to us for advice and support regarding any negotiations. This provides much needed and appreciated clarification and confidence during reviews.
